Namco Taiko Blog (26 July 2012) - Sunflower August and Don Challenge

As promised, today's blog entry is about the arcade events which will begin on August, with major focus about the new Don Challenge feature.

We briefly sum up again how this new mode works: Banapassport players who clear 8 out of 10 monthly objectives will be awarded with a brand new song, which will be unlocked for all the other players once the month is over. Clearing all the month-long achievements will also grant players some special nicknames! For more information, you can check the Namco Taiko Blog entry about Don Challenge here.

None of the August objectives are being revealed in this post, but we get to know the prize song! The song is a Namco Original called Chiri Yuku Ran no Tsuduru Uta (散りゆく蘭の綴る詩), which is one of the songs in that leaked image (the magazine scan with the Taiko 0.5 songs). The song is placed next to Kimi to Hibiku Harmony. Tough kanji huh? Look at all the symbols used!

But August is not just for Don Challenge! Every Banapassport user who plays once one the updated Taiko arcade on August will receive a summer related costume, the Sunflower (ひまわり):

The Taiko Team will post another blog entry today, with the comments of the creators of July's CreoFuga songs on PSP. Stay tuned!
