Made by You- Portal songs and more

Last week we saw our first osuTaiko chart by tetsutaro. Two more today, plus a few other things from regular Taikojiro!

This is the first time we've featured songs from the Valve-made game Portal, and there's two of them. The game may look like a shoot-em-up, but it's actually an ingenious puzzle game that involves creating entrances and exits using a special 'portal gun'. You probably already know more about it than I do anyway. Back to the map, the one above is one of its ending themes, Still Alive. It's not exactly difficult, but the song is very nice. And it has a full difficulty set in case you can't play Oni, as with almost all of tetsutaro's other maps!

And here's the ending for its sequel, Want You Gone. Again, it's a slow song with easy clusters, but a definite must-play if you're a Portal fan. Get em both from the video description, tetsutaro has a full website with all his charts on it!

Back to high-tension grounds, Jia Yi has contributed another chart from Madoka Magica, but this time it's from neither the anime nor the PSP dungeon crawler; but a fan-made Madoka side-scrolling fighter called Grief Syndrome (yes, it has its own music and all...the power of fandom is simply amazing). Don't let 'fan-made' fool you, you still have to pay some money to play Grief Syndrome, like all good doujin games!

This is the song for its boss battles, which runs an average rhythm and has lots of well-balanced clusters. There's also a Ura chart with slightly more notes too, watch it here!

After a month out of action, Yusri Khairi comes back for more Puyo Puyo notecharts, and there are eight of them, all coming from either Puyo Puyo 7 or Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, the two latest games in the series released about a year apart from each other. Best part is, 20th Anniversary can be played on three different consoles so almost anyone can grab and enjoy the puzzling goodness! You won't get it easy when you're online though....

The above video appears on both games, and is the music that plays in Henshin Mode, where characters transform into an older or baby versions of themselves and engage in a Fever-like jostle to rack up garbage for the opponent, but with either big or small pieces. Being a song generally lacking in drum beats Yusri managed to squeeze quite a lot into this song. Be sure to check out the other seven too, which comprise of different character themes and other BGM from the games!
