Namco Taiko Blog (21 March 2013): Spring Season Pack for Taiko PSP DX

Though no longer monthly, Namco still have not given up on Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX, and announced five songs for it today in conjunction with the spring equinox! (the official beginning of the spring season)

From today to May 6th 2013, players of Taiko PSP DX will be able to download these five songs for free! Yes, free!!
  • Memeshikute (女々しくて)
  • Kimi o Nosete (君をのせて)
  • Atarimae Taisou (あたりまえ体操)
  • Matryoshka (マトリョシカ)
  • Jinsei Reset Button (人生リセットボタン)
Three songs from Taiko Wii 5 and two more from the brand-new Taiko 0 Sorairo! It's a bumper crop season for PSP owners!

Matryoshka doesn't come with its Ura difficulty (probably because it doesn't have a full difficulty set) so the only way to play its Ura is still either on Taiko Wii 5 or Sorairo. This song and Jinsei Reset Button will be in Variety because the Vocaloid genre doesn't exist for this game.

Memeshikute also comes with its own special dancers, featuring Don-chan and the members of the band!

So do Matryoshka and Jinsei Reset Button!

To top off the deal, two new DLC costumes will be made available for Taiko PSP DX, the first DLC costumes to be distributed since the Lawson outfit from before the game launched.

Download Memeshikute and you get an outfit of Don-chan wearing a mask.

Download either Matryoshka or Jinsei Reset Button and you get the GUMI costume!

You have two months to get your freebies so get cracking! All songs will be priced at the usual 150 Yen each after this promotional period.
