Feature: Bad Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsense, Taiko Edition

Unless you have been living under a rock (wait then how do you read us), you should have heard of this large-scale human experiment of a free encyclopedia where everyone can edit, called Wikipedia (WP hereafter). As surly enough there are pages on WP about Taiko no Tatsujin!

But just as Twitch plays Pokemon shows, not exactly everyone can contribute positively to the project. Today we look at some of the less accurate and more absurd additions to the small Taiko no Tatsujin corner in WP.

Disclaimer: This is possibly the only BJAODN Taiko Edition we are doing. Do NOT go and deliberately vandalize Taiko no Tatsujin WP pages to get featured by us. You may be burnt at the stake by the otherwise-nice folks at WP.

First and foremost, it is very important to note that not all erroneous/destructive edits are done maliciously. Editors can mean perfectly well when putting them in, but only been made victim of unconfirmed rumors. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, and that person might have just been confused or misguided.

As an example, take a look at this old and partially wrong list of AC14 playable songs (last seen 20:27, 23 April 2013‎). Although some songs are proved to be non-existent in Taiko or just not ported to AC14, they are quite nicely attributed to the artist and source and in the correct genre had they been real. It is reasonable to assume that this editor just got the wrong news.

This edit (on 21 June 2012‎ and since been removed) could also be just misguided. Personally speaking, in all the arcades I have ever been to (and I only go to those with Taiko), there has always been a few Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune cabinets here and there. This person could have easily been just confused by the two.
Now for the really facepalm-inducing edits:

How can we miss these four releases? Oh wait, they don't exist. And Jigoku no Tuner (地獄のチューナー, lit. Tuner from Hell) is totally ripped off of Jun Kitami's nickname from Wangan Midnight. Done across three edits on January 1 2013.

Protip: anything "over 9000" implies a possible sign of vandalism. Done on January 24 2014‎.

He himself announced it to be trolling, so that's easy. Done twice on February 1 2014, at 07:21 and 07:22, both quickly removed.

Contributing to Wikipedia can be a great way to show you are a Taiko no Tatsujin fan! Hope this little hilarious collection gives you motivation to do that!
