Namco Taiko Blog (15 January 2016) - White Version's Pre-Tourney Update

After yesterday's spoonful of news, Eto comes back for yet another surprise blog update, describing in detail the features of White Version's 2nd software update.

Launching on January 28th, Game Version 3.09 is geared to bring out the last new elements for the month. In the song list department, White Version machines will receive two new licensed tracks: J-Pop track Watashi Igai Watashi ja Nai no (私以外私じゃないの) by Gesu no Kiwami Otome and XY&Z, opening theme for the long-running Pokémon Anime's latest series.

As a reminder, the last tournament pre-release song -Namco Original All In My Heart (オール・イン・マイハート) by Somei Yoshino- is coming in the same day, featuring the voice of voice actress Takagi Miyu (高木美佑) for the first time in Taiko games.

White Version's Dojo Ranking mode will also be introduced with this update, bringing out the same number of trials of its last incarnation in Murasaki Version arcades. Get ready!

The last feature introduced is also related to the incoming February tournament, as the tourney-limited Gacha will be added to the Donder Hiroba, as well as the tickets-earning mechanic involved for using said promo gacha. The tickets-acquiring mechanic will be operative only to the arcades participating the event.

As described by Eto himself, the ticket distribution will appen once everyday, being limited to who has tried the tournament trials in that day. Once that all the contestants for the day have played, the arcade operator will reboot the White Version cabinet in the tickets-earning mode. If one of the screens below appears, just scan your Banapassport card to earn your ticket! Each gacha pull is limited to 1 per day (such as the ticket distribution).

As you can see, the Petit Chara lineup for the event is also in full display! Just by color-association, the remaining blurred characters are looking like recurrent Taiko characters from the Wada Don family, as well as featuring certain key figures from a certain portable Taiko game...

While that's all for today's blog entry, we have some other business to handle for today... Just wait and see!
